Upgrading my prebuilt PC

So I got this prebuilt PC back in April this year from one of my friends. It has no graphics card , it has an i3 4170 that has integrated graphics and I wanna upgrade to a MSI GTX 960 Gaming 2GB. I also want to upgrade the power supply , and the one I chose is the Corsair PSU CX Series 500 W CX500. I plan on upgrading to 16 GB of RAM from 4 GB in the future , and the processor to an i5 4460.

I just want to know if my build will have any problems at all running with the new stuff I chose.

Here are some pictures of my PC as of now.

THAT FLOWER CARPET!!!

Anyways, here is my suggestion...  don't get a GTX960, either get a 1060 or a RX 480.  The power supply is a okay choice.

BUT to be honest, I'm not sure if that haswell based i3 will be able to really keep up with any of the 3 video cards.  You might be very pleasantly surprised with a RX 470 or 460... or a GTX 950 (or 1050 when/if it comes out)

It wont have a problem, but I'd recommend a EVGA Power supply.

I'd also wait for the GTX 1060

 | CPU: AMD FX 8350 + H100i | GPU: AMD R9 290X + NZXT Kraken | RAM: HyperX Beast 2033 16GB | PSU: EVGA G2 | MOBO: ASRock 970M |

| CASE: Corsair Carbide 88R |STORAGE: 1x WD Black | KEYBOARD: Corsair K70 | MOUSE: R.A.T 9 |

SOMETIMES LOSING THE BATTLE, MEANS YOU CAN WIN THE WAR

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I know a couple of friends that have a GTX 960 and and i3 4170 and it runs fine.

RX 480 is a massive scam in Greece because the 4GB model , which should be 200 bucks is 389 euros here ! It's absolute madness.

With a little over 390 dollars I can buy a GTX 980 , which I dont really need.

I just need it for casual games (CS:GO , League of Legends , etc) but I also need it to be able to record.

Plus a little thing that might be surprising for others , this 960 is priced at only 149 euros.

Notice I did suggest waiting.  Its not a "scam" its called economics.  Give it a while, wait for the 1060/1050 and you'll be happy you did.  (obviously you're Nvidia fan, which is cool)

Yeah , and all I was saying is that the RX 480 is not worth it here at the moment. Thanks for your suggestion. If the price was lower though I still wouldn't have bought it since many complained about power draw , other minor problems which other GPUs don't really have.

I'm gonna see what the 1060/1050 can do. It's said that it will come out this month.

(GO NVIDIA !)

They sadly don't have any EVGA PSU at their store. I don't know. Is it ok if I don't buy an EVGA PSU? I mean , Corsair is a pretty trusted company from all I know.

Corsair will be fine if you're limited in options. I'm temporarily using a vs550 which is like their entry level and it works fine
