Flash drive broken?

so my friend's 8 gb drive can't even handle 4.5GB in it. and when i tried to cancel the copying of a 2GB file, it wont. i had to close windows explorer and log off. it won't log off until i unplugged the drive. drive was just formatted btw.

run CMD

List disk

select disk #whatever the flash drive is

clean. 

 

Boom! fixed.

it was just formatted. same problem.
