Asrock G41C-GS. I want to ask if i need to change the motherboard because my intel cpu is overheating and making my pc freeze with buzzing sounds and turning off. Will be thankful if someone can help me.

Generally when your CPU is overheating, the culprit is the heatsink and not your motherboard. See if your CPU fan is busted and/or if your heatsink is clogged up with dust.

When in doubt, re-format.

Do you have your cpu overclocked?
If not, you could try getting the dust off your cpu cooler.
Your motherboard doesn't have anything to do with your cpu overheating. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Never did overclocked not familiar and u are right the dust it has for sure

Well cleaning your fan is always easier (and cheaper) than getting a new motherboard so I recommend you try that first.

When in doubt, re-format.

Its hard to clean it cuz its  CL-P0086

Still easier to clean than it is to replace the whole mobo. Also, replacing the heatsink is still waaaay easier and cheaper than a new mobo. The problem is most definitely with your cooler and not your motherboard. Though looking at the system, it may be time for an upgrade soon.

When in doubt, re-format.

I see, looks pretty hard to clean indeed.
I cleaned some heat sinks with a bike pump a little while ago. Works like a charm. You could try to do that, but do not forget to hold the fan still.

Yes, and you are running a 9 year old CPU/motherboard.

And for te last time, clean or replace your heatsink to fix your overheating issues, or replace the whole system (heatsink included) are your only real options.

When in doubt, re-format.

I would like to ask if i buy

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Do i need to remove the motherboard from the pc or ?

If your case has a cutout on the motherboard tray, then no. If it doesnt have the cutout then yes. To see whether it has a cutout, take the side panels off, look at the side that is the back of the motherboard. If there is a huge hole and you can actually see the motherboard instead of just a metal tray, then youre in business, otherwise you will have to extract the motherboard first.

Given the age of your machine, there is a good chance that your case doesnt have the cut-out.

When in doubt, re-format.

I agree, just clean that heatsink. I think you are better off replacing the whole system than buying a new heatsink.
