It's great, it looks really nice and because of the hidden HD and PSU it's really clean, I also really want to install the inside RGB lighting, if i get rgb lighting to work right anyways

I have no idea what that is.  Chances are, you are just missing something small.  Most people go through something like this and I am no exception.  Keep at it and don't be afraid to contact Phanteks if you are sure something is not working.

The LED controller is independent of the motherboard, so long as SATA power is plugged in and being fed power, it should theoretically be running.

 

My motherboard only has the power switch, reset switch, and HDD LED pins plugged in, nothing else. I would imagine you have a defective unit.
