Cooler Is better

Get at least a 240gb SSD

Graphics Card Wise, the More expensive GPUs will fair you better in the long term. You will have to upgrade a 1060 within the next two years, and that will add up to more than a 1070, Not worth it.

you need at least 12 gigs of ram, 8 is no where near enough.

Computers r fun

I plan to build pc that can last 5-6 years.

Budget:750 euros

Parts:

Intel Core I7 4790

Cooler Master T4

Asrock H97 Pro4

8GB 1600mhz DDR3 Ram

Kingston V300 120GB SSD

Seagate 2TB Hard Drive

Nvidia GTX 1060

EVGA 600W Power Supply

Thermaltake H25 Case

ASUS DVD Drive

The Kingston V300 won't last you 5 years. It's crap as it is anyway, replace it with a Samsung 850 EVO (best consumer SSD right now)

The GTX 1060 isn't even out yet :P And with how fast GPUs are evolving, you'll be in for an upgrade before 5 years

That PSU is very likely to not last 5 years. This one has a 7-year warranty.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Computer having a hard time powering on? Troubleshoot it with this guide. (Currently looking for suggestions to update it into the context of <current year> and make it its own thread)

I was considering +240GB SSD but its expensive.

GTX 1070 is like 500-550 Euros in my country.

8GB Ram is enough to be honest.

One of my friend have cheap Cooler Master 600W and runs 390x on it and still gets the job done.

With those recommendations,I have to rethink my budget. :D:D

The thing is, cheap PSUs have higher failure rate. For some people, they will last just fine, but that doesn't take away from all the people who have their PSU die before 5 years

Nice parts, but I'm scared to buy AMD GPU's since its power draw issue and I know they fixed it,but i won't like the red side.

It's fixed.

And it wasn't that big a deal from the start anyway, I always like to recommend decent motherboards

Well you can't really tell what tech will be in 5-6 years so you never really know. but with that GPU you won't last that long. you moght 2 years of life out of a 1060.

I dunno man, I was able to extract 5 years out of my (still running) 560 Ti :)

I only am considering a GPU upgrade because I also want a bigger, higher refresh monitor.

Maybe but that was kind of a stagnate era for graphics. but now resolutions are getting alot bigger and vr is coming into the market i would say go a little higher.

Error 404 humor not found.

Maybe also because I usually don't play the latest and most demanding games. Last AAA I played was TW3 and I found it boring :/

The Hyper T4 for 33 euro is a pretty bad value, and you won't need a CPU cooler if you're not overclocking

Performance difference between i5-6500 and i5-6600 isn't big enough to justify the cost, get the 6500

That said, if you want to max out 1080p right now, try this out

I suggest you save up for a $1000 computer (USD). That will be a whole lot more worth it for you, especially trying to get the longest out of it. An 800 USD machine will have to be replaced in a few years, while you can make a $1000 USD one last for more than 5, and with a better gaming experience and performance.

Computers r fun
