Can 4k Gsync downscale to 1440p 120hz ?

Anyone got a 4K G sync ? Since its the same module on the PG27AQ and PG279Q, should the 4K PG27AQ be able to do custom res @ 1440p 120hz ?

The module might be the same, but it doesn't mean the pixels themselves will handle the refresh rate.
