Try refreshing PC. Check in task manager and see if there is any program that is hogging an excessive amount of resources.

The firefox issue: it's simply because firefox is getting more and more garbage. I face the same problems on 2 different machines, especially when there is an application that requires flash, firefox is even more likely to crash and/or freeze entirely or just shortly (10-20sec) while it decides weather or weather not flashplayer really crashed now.

Switch to a different browser completely or just use chrome for everything flash based.

For the performance decrease:

Randomly is a big word, unless it can happen immediatly, like 1 - 5min after you start a game, I would first check your temperatures while gaming. Use MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor for that.

If your hardware is overheating, it will throttel itself and hence get weaker which in return can lead to laggs. The restart will help it cool down a bit again and make it work for some time.

If that is not it, do what other people suggest.

If everything fails, reformat, make sure you dont run sheitdows 10 and that should take care of at least your performance problem.

@Nord or quote me if you want me to reply back. I don't necessarily check back or subscribe to every topic.
