I would say this XMG (clevo) is your best bet.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

Don't get that, that is essentially the Gigabyte P34, which you should expect to burn the shit out of you.

^ Essentially the same as the P406, but done by a company based in the UK and should offer a better price than XMG.

the reason i liked the XMG c406 is because its soooooo light and powerful at the same time. i mean 1.7kg is nothing, not even a bag of potatoes

the one MR excercutor5 said is nice, it weighs a bit more though. but i like these suggestions. any others guys?

the c406 thermal throttlesand that is NOT a nice thing. The one he recommended is 100% the same as the XMG I recommended expect for the logo.

when i customize the one you suggested with a 970m and a 256gb ssd it comes up to £1260. which i find a bit out of my budget.

I meant the other clevo rebranded laptop the other guy recommend, I don't know who is making the keyboards, but they are okay. I have no idea about student discount.

it is 100% the same as the xmg p406, so what I have said about the XMG also goes for the defiance II.
