Depends what you're going to use it for. Personally SSD all the way if you can but SSHD if you need tons of storage and money is tight.

i think he means an SSD and a separate hard drive and 250GB ssd and a 1TB hard drive seems to be the standard setup for most builds on a budget

It depends on what he can afford. Honestly, i dont even know why he asked this because if he took one look at the prices, he would already know where his limits are.
