Sapphire RX 480 vs MSI R9 390 8GB vs GTX 1060

McullTMBK

I'm looking at gpu's for a build that I'm doing and I've been recommended these two but I'm not sure which to go for. Could anyone help me by telling me which has better specs and performance. Also I'm not bothered about the VR capabilities of the rx and the gtx because it'll be a long time before I get a VR headset. Should I buy the R9 390 or RX 480 now or should I wait for the GTX 1060.

NB: I'm looking for views from a non loyal perspective so please don't say a specific card because you like the brand.

Thanks in advance

Both perform similarly, but the 480 uses less power. Wait for aftermarket 480s though

When you say after market do you mean the MSI and Gigabyte versions

Both perform roughly the same. The main difference is that the RX 480 simply uses less power and might be a better overclocker - key word is MIGHT. Just wait for the aftermarket versions (keep a keen eye on the Sapphire Nitro).

Too early to say without benchmarks. Wait until the 19th and ask again :)

The 390 is an awesome card, you'll be happy.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
