Okay let's make it clear: if you want 1080p, don't go beyond IPs display from Dell u2312hm or u2412m price-wise. I recommend these.

If you want 1440p, you should jump all the way to some quality Asus PLS screen, can't remember name now. Also recommend it but its pricey.

][ CPU: Phenom II x6 1045t @3,7GHz ][ GPU: GTX 660 2GB ][ Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P ][ RAM: 8GB @1450Mhz CL9 DDR3 ][ PSU: Chieftec 500AB A ][ Case: SilentiumPC Regnum L50 ][ CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo & Arctic MX4 ][

Yes!

and don't bother with trash monitors like the ones mentioned before as 'Korean'. They re made out of screens which failed to pass the quality assurance test of big companies like Asus etc. and that's why they are so cheap.

Here is a cool review of a Asus monitor by Tom's Hardware. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/vg248qe-144hz-gaming-monitor,3609.html

IF I'm correct VA has deeper blacks than any other panel type.

However IPS and PLS will have better colour accuracy. You never asked for a specific resolution so if I were you I would get a Dell U2713HM since it's usually around $5-600 USD.

Dell S2440L

Beautiful picture out of the box, AMVA 8-bit panel, deep blacks, bright whites, static contrast ratio 5000:1(!!!), one of the best designed monitors ever.

If you don't mind reflections of course.

+1 for the EIZO Foris FS2333-BK if you want a 23" monitor or get the QNIX QX2710 Evolution II if you want a 27" option.

Intel Core i7-8700K @ 4.8GHz | Corsair H110i GTX | EVGA RTX 2080 XC | Asus ROG Maximus XI | Intel M.2 nVME SSD 1TB | Samsung 850 EVO 2X2TB | 32GB G.SKILL Trident Z 3200MHz CL14 RAM | EVGA SuperNova GS 1050W | Kept cool & quiet in a Fractal Design Define R5 Window with all Noctua fans

  • 2 weeks later...

I just picked up a refurbished Viewsonic VP2770-LED found at http://www.ebay.com/itm/300986938323. These usually go for around $750.00 and have been getting great reviews. Have not got this yet as I just ordered but wanted to let you know about the deal. Check out the review at http://wecravegamestoo.com/forums/monitor-reviews-discussion/13392-viewsonic-vp2770-review-2560x1440-semi-glossy-pls.html
