I recently put my PC together and only put two case fans in it. The motherboard supports 3. I have one that pulls air in from the front onto the HDD and GPU that spins at around 1200 RPM. I have another pulling in from the top that spinning at 3500 RPM, it sounds like a jet engine and I'm not sure if it should even be going that fast. I'm thinking of putting another fan at the top (Same model as the one going @ 3500 RPM) and replacing the 1200 RPM (Barely pulls any air in) in the front with the same model as the 3500 RPM fan.

Looking in the BIOS it seems as though the fans are regulated based on temperatures, so would having the three in there hopefully make them spin slower and be quieter?

Open to other suggestions, this is the case (The 1200 RPM fan came with it), these are the fans (Spinning at 3500 RPM, rated for 1200...).

Thanks in advance.

oh jeez i seriously miss those links?! LOL so as far as controlling the speed you can try with Speedfan: is a free application that can control every fan (even if i think asus as something like that built in)

Imo controlling case fans based on temp from mobo sencors is pointless. In my case I mean. My mobo has 3 temp sencors from which 2 are pointless and one is for cpu. So using something like speedfan I could use cpu temp as base for them. However I feel like easier solution is just set them to run at certain speed. 50% in my case.
