DX12 Multi GPU

So when I get my new RX480 my 650ti will be just sitting arround as spare and since DX12 has support for multi GPU and I do record and edit videos should I just put my 650ti into the second GPU slot and use it as a future DX12 multi GPU card if possible use it for helping encode videos. My machine is strong enough power wise to run bolth GPUs and I can hook up one of my VGA monitors on my setup to the 650ti with a DVI to VGA adapter.image.jpeg

It's impossible to say right now. If you have ashes of the singularity, test it with that.

Does the 650TI even support DX12 in the first place?  Typically multi gpu requires identical models, but dx12 bringing in native support does have the potential to see a future change in that regard, but I don't think yet and the hardware would require dx12 if it did.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.

AMD and Nvidia combined beats every other card in SLI or CF of the combo. So a 980ti in SLI will loose to a Fury X and 980ti in dual card setup. When I say beat I mean beat by 40-60FPS

The 650ti does support DX12 the 600series was the oldest they implemented DX12 for and the 650ti I have is still strong enough to still push the latest games at medium to high settings

it was only released a year ago but they started working on it years before that so it 's either they developed the hardware for DX12 long in advance, or DX12 is just software based, or it's kind of a hybrid of DX12 and DX11 with the hardware supporting DX11 with the software capibility of DX12
