Curious win10 question

So I was watching the Wan show today and they were talking about Win10 being sensitive about part changes. I changed my Cpu from a core2duo to a xeon e5450 using the sticker mod and it just refused to boot properly. I'd get to the logo and it'd crap. I'm not asking for help mind you, I didn't have much on there so I just said meh and reloaded it. But the question I have is if it is  possible that changing the cpu would cause it to crap out as far as win10 part sensitivity or am I looking at a different issue? I'm hoping to know if this is something that happens so I can know in the future.
