Ok so I am a teen and love to game, but don't know a lot about computers. I would love to try building one but that is not an option right now. I am researching some different PCs and would love input or recommendations. Most of the ones I have been looking at are around $600-$700 (USD) and I am not to worried about running things on ultra or high settings as I am used to playing things on high performance and just want to enjoy gaming.

I'm 13 and I can build a PC, anyone can do it with the right tutorials.

It's less about my willingness to and more about lack of personal space to store thins other than my room and also my parents not really understanding and seeing it as junk so won't let me buy things online as I do not have a credit card or debit card

the look for local computer stores. Frys is a big one or best buy sometime sell parts and you can build PC with high performance parts in a case just larger than a shoe box.

Good luck, Have fun, Build PC, and have a Wii and PS2 as your only consoles.

Ah, that makes sense.

Buying used and putting in a graphics card could be a worthwhile strategy.

If you want new, check out Fry's or Microcenter like the other's said.

see if you could get that in a store near you and then get a GPU. something like a RX480 or GTX 970 should do well.

see what closer stores have for sale or look at used hardware.

The thing is you have to start some where. My first PC was an HP computer that I upgraded the graphics card on. Later I added a better graphics card, more ram another hard drive and a better CPU cooler. Later I put it all in a new case. Buying a pre built and upgrading it will get you more familiar with hardware. Basically your starting from something that has been tested to work.

Personally Id stay away from a notebook and go with a desktop. As desktops have better performing parts. I say get a mid range i5, 8 Gigs of ram and a decent GPU. See what you can get with your budget. Then later you could upgrade to an SSD or more ram or what ever. Check out all the stores near you, some one is bound to have a deal.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
