Try lowering the speed all the way to one and see if it still makes noise if it makes noise throughout the different speeds I would open it up to make sure the ceramic bearing isn't worn or something is getting in the way of the imepller.

I have a MCP 655 from Swiftech but It's making a high pitching noise which for obvious reasons annoy me. I will add a picture so you guys can see how it is mounted, I thought maybe the frame which it is mounted to vibrate too much ? What do you guys think what I can do about it (speed setting is on 3 atm) .

I use XSPC Acrylic Top for Laing D5 V2  as a top for the pump.

Setting it to 1 actually made the noise bareable, and my temps didnt go down at least not noticeable . I thought these pumps shouldnt be loud on the third setting though.. hmm..

Well thanks for the quick help :)

Personally I would call the D5 absolutely dead silent, it's very quiet but I find it still audible even at the lowest setting if you have the side panel off.

If it's still making a high pitched whine though while not unheard of since it does have windings it can have the potential to create some coil whine however rare the case may be.

Yeah it still does but less, its like you hear its working not like something got stuck.
