Will a 1070 be enough for VR?

The 970 is the lowest VR capable card, so yeah it's way enough for VR :)

The 10 series has new tech that allows VR to take nearly half the resources is normally would with a regular card ( Multi-Projection ?) so it they should be vastly superior to 9 series cards in that regard.

Oh wow. Crazy how technology get's so outdated, especially in GPUs. If I find it to weak in 2-3 years I guess I'l just get the current xx70s of that year.

I have the 970 and it can run VR so yes, you should be able to run it

But like, 60 FPS? At acceptable quality? Not sure how it works.

Well, I don't actually have a VR headset but with the SteamVR performance test I got 120fps+ the whole time

If you have steam go to Library >Tools and then scroll down to SteamVR Performance Test

VR runs at 90 or its uncomfortable to look at.

I can't look at 60ahz screen anymore let alone a display few inches from my eyes.
