Thats what i thought. Now what would the terminal labled "freq input" be for?

Probably for amplitude modulation. You can basically make a am radio.

Cool. I might get it for $15...

Hmm. I'm going to guess that maybe it might tell you the frequency of the input. Failing that it could be for synchronisation? It also wouldn't surprise me if osc out was for triggering your oscilloscope. (externally)

That's one of those old school "medical" devices that today would be considered torture.

You hook red to your left nipple, and yellow to your right. Black well thats the ground.  Keep turning that middle knob til you *Russian accent* HARD LIKE BULL.

lol jk.

+5 is going to be a 5 Volt power out. That i know for sure.

Osc is likely oscillator output.

This is the main out of the frequency generator.

Oscillator will generate the desired frequency and that's the oscillator output; or "osc out".

The +5 and GND are EITHER power input or reference power output. It's undoubtedly 5V either way.

If it has a power cord in the back, it'll be a 5V output, and that's what I'd bet on it being.

Hope this helps :)

This is a frequency COUNTER, basically a device to measure frequency.

They do have a ref. oscillator (mostly 10 MHz) which controls the gate time, which is the time the counter takes to measure. The longer the gate is open, the more precise measurements you can get.
