So I got a game on the Steam Summer Sale and it turns out I didnt enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Im wondering if I could get a refund on it in time to buy another game before the sale ends.

Idk how long they take to process but as longer as you have under two hours play time, yes you can refund it.

Refunds are pretty immediate in my experience.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

if you've played it for less than 2 hours, yes.

if you refund to steam wallet, it usally takes like 5min -2 hours (in my experience) for then to accept or deny a refund, if you refund to paypal it will take 3-5 days to get the money.

but if you refund in steam wallet then it will be in your wallet as soon as the refund is accepted

Does it refund to the wallet if you used a Visa Card?

No if it's in steam wallet you have to wait like a week for the money to go back in so you don't buy and refund and buy and refund etc.

Unless they changed it.

Do they send out a confirmation email to let you know when the money has been refunded?

They do, but if you return the money to the Visa card the email confirm will be way earlier than the actual return (maybe due to the bank checking and stuff)

Their email say something like this:

Quote
Your purchase has been refunded by Steam.
We’ve issued the refund to the payment provider. You should see a credit or see the original charge removed from your statement within 14 days.

What do you mean not worth it :P Steam Refund is awesome. Since people dont do demo anymore, Steam refund is the way to go now. I own a Vive and there's plenty of Vive game out there, so I just bought whatever catch my interest and refund it if it completely betray my trust or the game just simply not for me

if you refund it on  to the steam wallet it will be right when they refund you,

if you pick to send teh money back to your card instead then it will take a few days,

you can pick where you want it refunded, if you going to use teh money on steam again just have it refunded as steam money and it will be instant

Well you see I need to make sure I get my money back before the sale ends or I wouldn't have enough money to buy a different game.
