it is worth if you doing multitasking like video editing, but as the 6700k is just a small amount higher priced, it is worth going with the overclockable chip.

if you are only gaming, the 6600k is your best decision in terms of performance per dollar

and if you have the budget, just go for 6700k and z170 motherboard.

if you plan on socket 2011-v3, a 6700k wouldn't fit because it's socket 1151.
