I like it, as I did too. But It's funny that there is a lot of bitching about Windows 10, yet everyone forgets you need it for DX12.

I like it, yeah people forget that you need win 10 to get DX12 and that is kinda funny when people want to run DX12 games on win 7 or 8.1

And my API benchmarks are insanely good, as is my performance in DX12 titles. So a lot of this comes down to reviewers not having the time to optimize the set up.

With the pricing so far I'm not looking to the 1080ti, yet. Man I hope the 490 is a killer. I could care less about it's memory, I want to see performance.

well if the 490 or new fury is going to be a better value than 1080 and 1070 then I am all over that and there is a big canche that I will get two. Yeah the ti is going to be really expensive this gen sadly, but then again if AMD shows off something good with vega then I don't care about the 1080ti, unless that thing is going to be a lot better.

Once you get a hungry monitor "value" goes out the window. You need performance. If that means eating out less, then you eat out less but get the fps you want. VR is going to worsen that, so AMD needs to offer performance to stay in the game.

Oh my monitor game is stepping a lot up soon hopefully. 120Hz HDR 1440p ultrawide YES PLEASE :D. I have no idea how AMD is going to do in VR, maybe Vega will have something like the 1080 with that VR feature.

Oh boy. A thread about someone's thoughts on the RX 480 turning into a flame war. I would have never guessed.

On topic: I'm fine with it. For me coming from a 7850 this'll probably be a nice upgrade.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

VR is VR, there will be perceptible differences but nothing noticeable without a point of reference. Like GSYNC and Freesync. I tried both and there is a difference, but only if you use both. If I had never used GSYNC Freesync would be fine.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
