How do you mean?

I am planning on buying RX 480 & FX-8350. Will that have issues as well?

bottleneck means the cpu cant feed the gpu data fast enough so the gpu wont run at 100% load and be as fast as it can be. and adding more cores probably wont add much benefit as games are mostly single threaded. get an intel cpu or wait for zen

Yeah i know FX is old but my fanboyism doesn't like buying intel

then wait for zen, i'm sure you can wait out until the end of year.

(maybe you can tag along on the gpu side and buy an aftermarket cooler, or even a 490 as well.)

Intel is too expensive

Even old intel cpus (like i5 2500K) still hold up very well in games, and it's 4-5 years old..

I have an FX-6300 and I run Crossfire R9-270's, I overclock the crap out of everything simply because I could care a less if it dies, its 5 years old, and I want more fps and details! lol ----- and it still runs every game decently on mid to high settings at 1080p.

I have reached the limits literally of what the CPU can do to hand off information to the GPU's. To be honest I might even be bottle necking the gpu's a little already. Long story short, a single 480 is more powerful than my 2X270's so it would be a total waste of money... OR NOT?

Single Non-Reference R9-270's are going for $100 a pop around my area. So 2X is $200.... Hmmm the 480 is $200.....

2X R9 270's give you 2gb of useable video ram as it doesnt stack in crossfire... RX 480 comes with 4gb.....

If you have a card that works, and you already have an fx 6300... abuse it until it lights on fire. If you have an FX 6300 and no graphics card.. buy a 480... If you have a fx 6300 and a piece of junk graphics card.. buy a 480....

Upgrade mobo, ram and CPU later... and be glad you already have a 480.

Myself personally am going for the up in flames solution, really because I am too cheap to buy a new computer until I dont have a working one to begin with.
