Spotify finally brings Windows Phone app on par with IOS version

AlTech

That's good to see. Now it's the waiting game for the android version. App developers need to do away with the awful hamburger menu and move forward to the bottom navigation tabs that are easier to reach.

Material design has slide in from the side.

Spotify announced this only for the iPhone version. Afaik the Android version will get it in like 2-6 months. This was their new design language they started to implement with the iPhone but now that Apple is treating them badly they may rethink their priority.

Seriously. Who thought sliding in from the side was a good idea? Just show me the damn app content already. If I want out I'll press the back button.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

My quick and dirty review: New looks, but laggy. The UI speed is reasonable, but there is too much time between songs(not internet lag, 50/15) and too much lag with the play/pause button. I hope this get fixed repetitively soon as it seems like i'm not the only one with these problems(Spotify forums and reddit).
