Backplates

My friend just got a Gigabyte GTX 680 2gb windforce 3x but hates the blue pcb. I was wondering if I could get a backplate made or buy one? And will adding a backplate void the warranty? Thanks :)

Its extremely difficult to find backplates for non reference design cards, search around but I seriously doubt it. It should not void your warranty as long as you do it right and it doesn't damage your card. Cause if something goes wrong and you try and RMA and you find out the backplate crushed a component you're screwed.

Go to OCN and send Dwood a PM. He makes them and ships them for something like 25 dollars. It can be risky though, there's a lot on the back of a video card that can stick up high enough to touch...

This is EK's universal 680 backplate so it fits most 680s. Should get it checked if it will fit your version.

I see there is an EVGA backplate that will fit but you should see the problem. EVGA on a Gigabyte :P worst case I will get one custom made
