AMD Mantle

Ok....I keep hearing about and mantle and how it will be an Nvidia killer. Call me a noob but I am totally clueless about the and mantle Apo. Can someone please tell me how it works and what makes it an Nvidia killer? I have been an Nvidia fanboy forever and will always will.

Search the forums, we have tons if not massive threads already on it. 

 

If it helps you conceptualize it a little bit better, they were running BF4 @ 60 fps across three monitors with a single 290X with mantle. Nobody has really said it's an Nvidia killer, they'll just have to do something if more and more larger producers use mantle API as opposed to only that greasy sack of ugliness directX

It lets devs take direct advantage of the card bascially.
