No post after installing geforce 210

So I actually had the computer running the other day and the graphics card makes the computer not post. Specs:

Geforce 210 1gb ddr2

Pentium D 820 2.8ghz

3gb ddr2

old HP board

600 thermaltake tr2 psu

250gb toshiba laptop drive.

 

Everything is hooked up properly and it was working perfectly fine the other day. any help?

I would check for a BIOS update for your HP board. Are all the cables connected securely?

they are all connected properly and the bios is up to date. last update came out like 5 years ago.

Can you test the card in another computer?

take the 210 out of the system, sometimes older computers with integrated GPUS get pissed when you install a discrete card. 

 

Try going into your bios and look for settings such as "primary video adapter" and change it over to PCI.

I've done that before but i'll see if it helps. Let me go do that.

I've seen this before, sometime it requires you to reset your CMOS to get the card recognized. Another issue that could cause this is blown capacitors on the motherboard.
