I have a budget of 250 pounds pushing to 270. I have had my eyes on a 970 , however the new 480 is soon to come out which will severly drop the prices of the 970 . Plus the 1060 is also set to come out.

Can someone help me out on what gpu to get?

Wait for the 480's benchmarks - if it's better than a 980 as the leaks suggest buy that

Wait when the 480 comes out the prices will drop on the 970s ? right

They won't drop any lower and they'd have to drop lower than 150$ as that's the MSRP of the 970 competitor - RX 470

if you are on a budget then get the 480 since its going to be close to 970 (and over) perf and with the 8gb vram you will be little bit futureproof on that 1. If you can fork up some dough and get 1070 or 980 if you can get that one for cheap
