Is it okay if I don't use stand off?

OK THANK YOU SOO MUCH

Just whatever you do put those stand-offs in it asap, or just take the board out and wait until you have them.

If you really have to use the system and you don't have stand-offs place everything on a cardboard box and use it that way, cardboard isn't conductive and won't cause any harm.

Hello as I said do I have to use standoff's when installing the motherboard? Because I installed my PC and didn't use standoffs so is it okay or will it damage it ?

Nooo that's bad! very bad!

You can short out the motherboard if you don't use stand-offs and kill it and if you are very unlucky, kill everything.

Yea i'm not joking.

On the back of your motherboard are bits sticking out, if they touch the plate of the case contact can be made between the pins that shouldn't be connected at all and frying it.

Usually some protection kicks in if something is badly wrong but still it's really really dangerous.

edit: especially the pins that stick out at the back of the big ATX 12V connector are pins you don't want to short out.

I can't imagine a 12V short connection ending well.
