So, I haven't bought my good graphics card for my rig, so I am currently running a gt 610 with an FX 8300 and 16 gigs of ram. (Bottlenecks, I know. Waiting for the non reference RX480.) Will the graphics card be able to run Space Engineers? I can run most open world games because I have a 1600x900 monitor, and they are usually not that detailed. (Planteside, ARMA, etc.) I would like to know because the game is on sale on steam for 7.49 USD.

I get about 40 FPS maxed out at 1080p on planets with my HD 7950.

CPU: FX-6300 @ 3.5Ghz

GPU: HD 7950 @ 1050mhz core clock and 1250mhz memory

My BIGGEST issue is ram. This game is a ram whore. I've got 8Gb, and I had to set up a paging file just so I could get into the game. Ram usage spikes all the way up to 30Gb when entering the game, so keep that in mind too.

Not worried about the 480. Asking if the 610 can play it now.

I'd highly doubt that the GT610 would be able to keep up even though it would be somewhere just above minimum graphics requirements (I've tried running graphic intensive games (which this will be) and it struggles even with a CPU that isn't as modern).

If you want to get the game, just get it and don't bother installing it until you have the 480 installed (I've already purchased it in a previous sale and haven't installed it because every computer I currently have isn't capable of running it because of an incompatible OS or well below minimum RAM requirements).
