I have had this problem for a few months and have tried about every possible thing I have read online and I could possible think of. I am getting random freezes with no error codes exept the one I have below and I am out of ideas. Nothing triggers it or anything. I have tried clean installs on Windows 7 and Windows 10. Nothing is overheating. I work in a computer repair shop so I have a pretty good idea what to look for but at this moment I have no idea.

Amd fx 9590
Corsair RM850 PSU
Asus Sabertooth 990fx Rev. 2
Radeon R90 280x
4x4 GB sticks of Corsair Vengeance
Kingston SSD and Samsung Evo SSD (Problem occurs on both)
Samsung 1 TB HDD as backup
Raijintek Triton Blue AIO liquid cooler

Any help would be nice because I am out of ideas. Let me know if you need anything else to help.

Below is the most recent error that shows in event viewer.

Okay, that is a fairly generic error code.

The only thing that error code signifies is that Windows did not shut down properly.

There is going to be another error that coincides with the power failure error.  If you could kindly let me know what that error is, then I'd be happy to look at it as well.  If you're unsure of how to navigate event viewer to do so, then you can just upload a saved log of event viewer by following these instructions: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg163107(v=bts.70).aspx Then I will be able to view it for you.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

No, I very specifically said this:

Which means that error is pointless and you don't need to access it anymore.

So please upload your whole log so I can fish through it.

Cool thanks

Okay, so I see 3-4 things that jump out at me right off the bat.  First off, you have a driver error with a USB device, which when I search for it, it seems to be a ASUS phone of some sort.  So there is a driver dealing with a ASUS phone that isn't correct.  The name for the device is "USB\VID_0B05&PID_5F02&MI_00\7&221603a&0&0000" and when you search for "USB\VID_0B05&PID_5F02" you find out that it is a "ASUS Android Composite PC Link" something or another...  So I'll leave that to you to figure out.

Next, you have a LOT of Windows Services continually uninstalling and reinstalling themselves.  Mail and Calendar did it 2 times in just 2 days.  So something is up there...

Additionally, Windows is trying to enter some kind of sleep state and it isn't able to.  Some kind of software is conflicting with it.  The name of the sleep thing is " AdaptiveSleepService "

With all of these things going on, I'm thinking you're on the "fast pace" with Windows updates (or whatever it is officially called)...  I'd suggest doing a clean install of Windows and getting off of that.  It seems like the programs you want to use, with the hardware you have, just isn't going to play nice.

BUTTTT I want to be clear, that NONE of the stuff in "Applications" and "System" line up with the error 41 that happened on 6/21/2016 at 7:24:44 (at least directly)  I'm going to go over your new one now.

Ok I will look into things.  Also I have done clean installs multiple times and on different HDDs and SSDs.

And bcmihvsrv64.dll (which is a Broadcom wireless LAN controller dll) is throwing errors out, but its not directly causing errors.

I'd also like for you to look at the guide in my signature for installing Windows.  It really seems like a lot of drivers that you're using are generic drivers, which will cause these kinds of problems.

Actually, I've narrowed it down for you.  The sleep state thing is actually coming back to the WLAN adapter.  So I think your wireless card is causing a "at least somewhat" problem in your system.

I have uninstalled all network adapter drivers and reinstalled them off of discs or the website and so far I have not had any restarts.  So far so good but I'm going to give it a couple days and see  if it happens.  Thanks

Honestly, with your log, I don't know if simply uninstalling and reinstalling them is going to do you much good.  I'm concerned that you don't have Windows 10 ready drivers, OR there is some other software conflict.

  • 3 weeks later...

Uninstalling wifi drivers and reinstalling them straight from the disk worked. I haven't had a single crash since then. Thanks a million I have been dealing with this for way too long. It sounds like this error is different for each person. Hopefully this can help other as I know how frustrating it is.

Okay, so let me be the first to say congrats on the success...

BUT you should really get the driver from the manufacture's website, not the 8 year old disk they included with the product.
