CUDA won't work when rendering videos

Hi I have this issue where i can't use my GPU to render videos in Vegas Pro 13, I have checked the CUDA and it says it is available and that is what i select to use when it comes to rendering but it never works. 

 

i7 6700

Gigabyte 980ti GV-N98tG1

bear in mind it doesnt render the WHOLE video using the GPU, it is still down to the CPU to do the rendering. The GPU only comes in handy when it renders an effect that has been applied to the video.
