I am a MSI Fan boy, but they have some QC issues with their cards concerning coil whine, Go with the EVGA and you cant go wrong with either the FTW or classified.

+1 for EVGA. While I don't really like their ACX 3.0 cooler, I'm rioting MSI for their review faking. Don't buy MSI for this generation please.

Would you happen to have heard if the MSI GTX 970 model 4GD5T OC has coil whine issues?

I did not follow the 970 launch closely so I could not tell you. All I know with the 970 is the VRAM fiasco from NVIDIA.

Well shit, I just bit the bullet and bought a MSI GTX 1070. I've had a MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr for nearly 3 years now and never had any problems with it. Hoping I have the same luck with this one, as opposed to some of the things people are saying about the current MSI 1070s lol. I care a lot about the card being quite and running cool, that's why I got a MSI 760 a few years ago, I figured it would be the same quality with the 1070.

There's always the Gigabyte G1 1070! You can't go wrong with Gigabyte for some of the best OC's!
