I think I finally narrowed it down to these parts. This is a $300 budget PC that could see some light gaming in its life.

I have the choice of "cheaping out" and going with an A6 7470K instead of the A8 7650K, I might want to go with the cheaper one because the 7650K is out of stock where I'm planning to buy it and other places have it for $15-20 more. For the operating system, I'll be getting a key from Kinguin. Monitor and keyboard are things I'll be getting while in Mexico, where this thing will be built. Another question is should I have some of these parts shipped directly to Mexico or possibly go through crap at the airport?

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

You do not need a CPU cooler (I believe the A8 -7650K comes with a stock cooler)
Save some money there by removing it.

You can also save a few dollars by going for one 8GB stick of RAM (Good for upgrading later)

Hopefully this will help you better afford the 7650k

Alternatively you could go with a skylake i3 or pentium

1)I know it comes with a cooler, but AMD chips are hot and I need this to last a good while as I won't be around to do any regular maintenance.

2)APUs are better with dual channel RAM, but I see what you mean.

3)AMD is cheaper :P

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I'm fairly sure you'd easily get away with the stock cooler but sure thing -
This is true... but they benefit even more from faster ram... the dual channel only makes a small difference at 1600 speeds

Try this?

I've just gone from the A8 7650k to the i3 6100 myself... I can safely say that the i3 is very similar - if not better.

He's already bought a case... as it says on his original part list

In my computer I have an A4 7300 and it reaches 90C while gaming. This is why I want an aftermarket cooler.

I would like to go Intel, but you know budget gaming.

Makes sense...

The build I showed you is fine for gaming (I use it ;) ) I get good frame rates in most things.

However, the intel 1151 gives u ddr4, and the option to upgrade when kabylake comes out

Also you save a bit of money so you can perhaps buy a video card if you feel the need

Good luck :P
