What do i do?

if your really worried about static, just take and plug in your power supply flip the switch to on, but dont actually use it to power anything on and right before you pull it out of the bag, touch the PSU to ground yourself and discharge any static electricity you may have.

No, that wouldnt ground you properly. Honestly, unless you live in an area where there is like zero humidity, static electricity shouldn't be a concern.

So just in my room i should be fine? could i get rid of static by touching the heater?

If not could you suggest someting that your average 14 year old kid would have in his room?

do you have hard wood floors in your house? if so, take your shoes off stand on it to open it and you should be fine. Honestly the chances of you blowing up your card from static Electricity is very slim. I am in a carpeted room here and am always in my case tinkering with things and poking at it without ever having a static shock sent across regardless of the season.
