If it had padding you couldn't fold it like it is shown. Some people might like that trade off, I don't. I would never put my laptop/tablet in something like that. Also good padding helps for aching back and shoulders which they are complaining about, so if they achieved that kudos to them. Still don't like the fact that it's only nylon.

But what gets me is the description, how their backpacks had no storage for water bottles, space for this and that etc etc. Well no one forced you to buy it. If you're travelling, and they are talking how they have an extensive network of international backpackers (didn't know that was a thing) so you might think they know what they are doing, first things you wanna da is be sure that you have enough space to carry your stuff. You could say an amateur mistake. Sure, you can't fold other backpacks, but some manufacturers have great/incredible backpacks. Try Thule for start and tell me if your back hurts.

Honestly, this to me doesn't look like anything special, far from being the best backpack for my needs, but maybe someone might actually use it.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Its a daypack not a backpack

this is not meant to be your primary luggage, but a bag you can take with you, to take some basics for a day out - like for example I go on holiday with my suitcase, I can take this with me, and take my ipad, camera, towel, spare clothes, money etc around for the day before going back to base

also it has a water bottle pouch? what are you on about

Yeah I know, it's a daypack but this came naturally so I forgot to write daypack. But to be fair backpack is not meant to be your primarily luggage as well. And everything you just described is practically (actually it is, not just practically) a backpack. I was talking because I've seen daypacks from Thule that I've mentioned, just as an example, with the only thing that they can't do is fold. With better padding while being bigger and having spaces for big watter bottles and I don't know anyone that complained about strain or something like that.

The water bottle was my mistake, I apologise, I read that wrong... 6 times in a row.

If they want to make a daypack it's cool, it's that I don't think that some, or most of their arguments hold.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Eh it kinda looks great to me, wouldnt use it for anything HEAVY or serious, but the fact its so compact and functional seems great to take along on any trip as an emergency backpack

I'm not blown away, or even close. That fact that it folds is useful, I'll admit that, but because of that they had to sacrifice some other stuff which is the reason I wouldn't put my laptop/tablet in it. Still for simple day to day use it could be neat, albeit it doesn't look durable at all. Actually an emergency daypack is a pretty clever idea.

yeah I would not use it as a daily use bag, i have much more expensive nicer bags for that

but id definitely get one to take away with me, perhaps to give to a friend, or if my bag gets damaged/lost, or if I go out and dont wanna take a bag, I can leave this in the glovebox and I always have a bag with me without worrying about it taking up space etc

thats how I see it
