GPU Upgrade

So I have a GTX 780 super clocked right now and I'm wanting to upgrade as I'm having issues running games like bf4 and some issues with GTA V but nothing major. I've considered a 980 but I'm not sure the price tag is worth the upgrade. I also kinda looked at the 980ti. I've also considered the 1070, I don't need the latest and greatest. I mostly play battle field, chivalry, battle front and some others. My monitor is an ultra wide 3440x1440 and I play most games at 2560x1440 but would love to play all at the full 3440. Suggestions please and thank you 

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)

Would you say 1070 over 980ti ?
