Worth Buying?

Cripple [Crip]

Is this pc worth buying for $500 and doing some mods? the specs are :

i7 3770

16gb ram

GTX 660

1TB HDD , No SSD

Ugly green ass mobo matx

Lite-On 550w

its a Acer Aspire G3620 case

Soo is it worth buying this and adding a 128gb HyperX Fury SSD , selling the GTX 660 to buy a GTX 680 or a rx 480 for gaming at 1080p high settings 60fps games such as GTA 5 ,Dying Light,CSGO,State of Decay

I would just make on from scratch, depends on how much it has been used but it is likely the gpu will die within 2 years

Can you negotiate the price?

Try to get it down to $450, and you got yourself a great deal

PSU is questionable, but the rest isn't bad.

You could build a stable m-atx build that outperforms it for around the same price, with more current gen hardware.

i think that deal is meh imo and i live in the EU . If you can negotiate to around 400$ , then it's fine , but otherwise i wouldn't .Try looking for the components separately

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

That's because the majority of the time you can, even in the EU. Hence why I asked where in the EU you're located so that I could try and help you further, but you ignored that question.

try to get the price down a bit and then it isn't that bad of a system. GPU upgrade will do wonders and I'd get the rx480

That's fine. You're still getting a I7 3770, selling the 660 will you give you so money towards the RX 480 and the case supports ATX power supplies. However you could build it with used retail parts but it depends on what the used market is like over there.

Have you checked the prices for a GTX 970? Checked the prices of any AMD cards? 8GB of RAM should suffice if money is an issue. I'm sure you can find a motherboard that will do the job for a fair price. AMD CPUs are generally cheaper than Intel, try and look up some of  them and see the prices. Make sure your PSU is a good quality one. 500W should be more than enough for most builds but always double check.

If none of the above works. Then my opinion would be to avoid this buy anyway. It's overpriced and outdated hardware.

Okay so outburst aside, i tried to edit after i saw that you don't live in the US stating that. But you know what, buy that system, and let the power supply burn your house down. Twat.
