Yea, the V1 is just a hub whereas the V2 is a fan controller.

Hey everyone, 

 

Im considering buying the NZXT Grid but i would like to know if it comes with software to control the fans.

NZXT GRID+ V2 combines intuitive software and variable installation options to provide a simple, unintrusive solution for digital fan control.

What about the original one though? I think that was just a fan hub.
