tactile bump. No click, but not linear. The click in clicky switches is produced by a plunger, browns do not have these, just a bump at actuation point, unlike linear switches, which are smooth all the way down

the cherry mx silent is a more quiet linear version of reds.

The cherry mx speed has a actuation point of 1.2 mm instead of the reds 2.0 mm. This make the keystroke much more rapid and can be executed faster than the reds.

Reds, silent and speed are all linear
