in theory there should be nothing wrong with this, but there's some practical issues (like turning on and off the second psu) and the only reason i'd see fit for doing this is if you're dealing with chinesium garbage.

Not really since it means there are twice as many points of failure and since you are using cheap PSUs (which is why you have two) its already high.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

They looks like low quality units, but what's the two power supply you have now? Your system isn't very demanding, so you could power it on a good 400w.

Since it's only about $7 more than the EVGA 450B and is a superior unit than it, I would suggest the Corsair CX450M. There's also a rebate that can effectively make it a <$30 PSU, if you get it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139146

Ive considered this before and sort of because 2 500 w psus is cheaper than a 1000 psu (from what I have seen at least).

The tricky part is getting them to both turn on at the same time.  You have to somehow connect the green wire on the atx 20 pin connector from both psus to your board.  Probably requires some jerry rigging.

One is a logysis 575w and the other is a 400w ultra.

I had problems with running the 575. The 12v rail is really not up to the task it is 25v and outervision quoted 25.2v for the rail.

yeah, both of them are junk units. don't attempt to destroy your parts, seriously. get at the very least, the evga w1 500w or antec vp450, they are around $30 but they'll do a far better job then those 2 boxes of handgrenades.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

By the way the logysis was a brand new psu

So they're both terrible then? Great. All the more reason to replace them with an EVGA 500B or Corsair CX450M.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I'm pretty sure that's not what you think it is... The 12V rail is a 12V rail, no other voltage output about it. It's amperage that you should be concerned about. Amps on the 12V rail multiplied by 12 is how much power the 12V rail can put out.

Nonetheless we all agree getting a cheap-ish decent PSU to replace two terrible ones is a good idea.
