I keep on getting change password requests in my email. These are from Steam and the person who keeps sending them is called "lightskull". Does anyone know what I should do.

When browser page pops up -> Steam -> Contact Steam Support.

 

Explain that someone is trying to get hold of your account...

I did it within the Steam client. I reported him for misconduct of the service or something. I have had these in the past but I have never took much notice of them. It does worry me greatly though as I have invested a ton of money into Steam and want it secure. If anything where to happen to my Steam account I think I would lose it and track down who ever did it and kick the sh*t out of them. Obviously I wouldn't kill them but still it isn't a funny thing to do. Either that or I would stop playing video games from sheer frustration.

Well he obvously doesn't have access to your email otherwise he would of took it already.

Change your passwords on steam + your email to be sure.

So don't worry about it, just get steam to do w/e

He doesn't have access to your email.

He can't do anything no matter what you do.

You NEED to have access to email to reset your password and also to login on a different computer (assuming you have steam guard on which you should do).

You can request a password reset with just a address/account name which isn't hard to get ;p

 

Do you think it will be ok to log out of Steam for tonight.

From Steam:

 

If you do not know your Steam Account name:

1. Select the I don't know my account name. option and click Next.
2. Select an item of information, preferably the account's contact email address.
3. Enter the contact email address on record with Steam to have Steam Support email your Steam Account name to this address.
4. Repeat the initial step in this process and, upon receiving the email message containing your Account name, select the "I know my account name" option. Or, if you didn't receive this email message, Contact Steam Support.

If you know your Steam Account name:

1. Select the I know my account name. option and click Next.
2. Enter your account name in the Account name field and click Next.
3. Check the contact email address for your Steam account for an email containing yourVerification Code and Secret Question. If you didn't receive this email message,Contact Steam Support.
4. Enter your verification code and the answer to your secret question in the Verification code and Secret answer fields respectively, then click Next.
5. Steam will next require you to select a new password. Enter your new password twice to confirm the change, then click the Next button to reset your password.

 

 

He is doing one of those.

Your email is protecting you're account.

As long as he can't get into your email, your account is safe.

Thanks. I changed my password and sent a request to get this guy banned or something. This lightskull person is French I believe judging from his profile.
