BSOD when installing NVIDIA Drivers.

I get a bluescreen everytime I attempt to install the latest Nvidia graphics drivers. While it is installing, the screen flickers and the computer bluescreens. The error message is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

haha funny because i get the same blue screen but dont know the cause

Nope, it's a clean install.

Nope. Also, that UD3H killed my SSD and it had 4 bent pins.

What you are getting is either a driver error or a RAM error. Have you installed any other drivers that might be corrupted? It could also be faulty RAM.

I downloaded BlueScreenView and opened the Minidump file in it.

Some people have it too with newer Nvidia drivers. Just download older ones and give it a try.

The motherboard (UD3H) is not being used. A known working AsRock Pro3 is being used. It could be a RAM error, but the minidump says it was caused by ntoskrnl.exe.

Main kernel file of the OS aka Core component of the operating system. OS just dont accept the new drivers. If you got the CD that came with the card (and didnt throw it out like SOME person says on the vids) try to install them only for checking if it show up on all the versions.

Sounds like RAM issue. RAM is normally life time warranty, and they are small, so shipping is usually not much.

You can also see with the manufacture if you can keep your current RAM, while they ship you the replacement one.

Sometimes they offer that if you ask.

I get this error every so often, and have tried a lot of things to solve it. memtest86 does 10 passes and never finds an error, it did this on my previous windows 7 x64 install and now it does it on my windows 8 x64 install with a new SSD. I did begin to think it might be because I only "quick formatted" my HDD's my games are stored on but now im not so sure that's the problem.

 

EDIT: It also did this when I was using 8GB Corsair XMS3 at 1333mhz and when I clocked it higher to 1600mhz.
