See'ing multiple links of "The top USB WiFi Adapters of 2016" i clicked and read and looked but it seems not all or even 1 is the same...so im having a very hard time choosing. Mind you id prefer a wireless PCI card, but thats not possible currently. So im wondering what are the real results of the best 2016 WiFi Adapters and the legitmacy of these reviews...I can't tell who to trust. I know wireless is very finicky, but im looking for the best deal for the dollar for an all around situation. Sorry if thats vague, but im anxious and excited to see what happens. thank you for reading and sorry for the grammar if its not perfect.

Why USB? Why not PCIe?

The only Available PCIe slot available on my mobo for some reason or another does not work. with any peripheral.

It will also help when someone brings in a computer and i can just plug the USB adapter in and gain wifi easily.

I like the Dlink DWA-192. Little pricey but actually improved my download speeds over my previous dual band n usb adapters.

Haha thanks

I highly recommend the Netgear AC1200 (A6210).

Works absolutely phenomenal and the optional extention dock is quite nice.

The only thing that is kinda lame is without the driver it's speed is very mediocre,  and it is a fairly large antenna.

That said,  considering that adapter beats my 8260AC pcie card in real world tests,   I think it's pretty freaking good even if a bit more expensive than pcie WiFi cards.
