Hey guys,

My name is Omar Ibrahim and I finished my Highschool 2 days ago. So I wanted to study abroad and to be specific in the US. Due to the reason that nobody in my family did study at all yet, I am looking for advise and such. I also want to mention taht my Highschool was about electrical engineering.

I am looking for a bachelor degree in Computer science most likely, but there are so many diffrent colleges out there that I have no clue which one to choose or which one I should apply to. I don't have a lot of knowledge about the school systems in America, so I hope you guys can give me some advice/information.

I was looking around for some and what kind of majors I can do relating computer programming. As you may have read before I was looking into computer science, but I am kinda confused now, because it doesn't look like the part of programming I want to do. Basically I want to work on robots/hardware-software programms and software programms. I want to work on some really decent stuff later on. It might sound egoistic or self centered, but that is what I want to do. The most important thing I want to work on is algorithms and artificial intelligence. I love the concept of them and want to learn about it. I want to invent robots with intelligence, intelligent applications or just games ^^.

So know you know what I am looking for and what I would like to accomplish. I hope you guys can help me out with some information about some Highschools, which once would be good choices and would help me to accomplish my goals.

My marks for reference how good I am at minimum. I don't want to sound self centered or don't want to boast, but I did not study a lot at all the 5years till I finished my Highschool(keep in mind these marks are written in german and I added my last year makrs togheter with my end exam makrs and divided them by 2):

See attachment

Furtheremore I am pretty good in soccer. I mentioned it, because I would like to keep playing soccer.

Would be greatful for every bit of information you can give me, because I am at a dead end.

Nice greets,

Omar Ibrahim

Where?

The us is big, it would be better too have a more narrowed region.

San Jose State in california is a really good technology school. people tell me, that once you get out, you have MANY opportunities to be hired by many big tech companies, including apple, google, linksys, cisco systems, nvidia, etc. plus, if you lived in state, tuition could be as low as 7 grand a year, even lower if with financial aid and scholarships, but only 13 grand a year for out of state.
