Hi guys, I'm building my first pc and I want a gtx 1070 in it. However I'm not sure from which 3rd party to buy. I'm quite inexperienced with graphics cards launches... At this stage should I wait for the reviews to come out or are all the 3rd party gpu's practically the same apart from cooling differences and maybe some differences in overclocking? What should I look for in a 3rd party gpu at this stage?

Hi guy

But I'm a lovely princess... :x

Anyway, there's really not that much difference between the afterparty models. You could easily base your decision on price and looks. Personally, I'd go with Gigabyte's.

How about the one from MSI? I'm buying from computeruniverse and it seems it's the one available now, the others are still only announced

MSI aswell, yeah. But i'd seriously wait for Reviews because sometimes for no reason at all, companies f*ck up the coolers like they did with the R9 280 or something.

Look at the reviews, or at the specs sheets, pick the one that has the best features for you, or the best software, for the overclocking part, even if the review says it overclocks well, you may have troubles overclocking as the reviewer because of the "silicion lottery" :)

Let's RIOT MSI for the 1070/80 GPUs, since they are deliberately trying to fake their results in benchmarks. As I said earlier, the difference between the various models is pretty small, so you might as well pick one from a half decent brand.
