I guys, after the forum broke every dream i had about the new razer blade + core i came to my right senses and decided to build a 4k 60fps ready little computer.

So here i'm going to build it from scratch and i never had the experience of a very high end computer, might as well just ask you here, right ? right ?

I'll just give you the list of parts i though were good and see you guys destroy again everything i build... Damn you

Case : BitFenix Prodigy

http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00131333.html

Motherboard : Asus Z170I Pro Gaming

http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00197748.html

CPU : i7 6700k, a new classic

http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00192586.html

GPU : Asus rog strix GTX 1080 OC / gaming

http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00209998.html

Ram : G.Skill Ripjaws 5 Series 2x16 Go (yeah might as well get 32 go for the futurproofing) 3333Mhz !

http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00207961.html

Boot drive : 512 Kingston SSD

http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00204005.html

Power supply : I have no idea about the needed PSU, so guys, a little help ? <3

I can't yet decide if i'm going to do a full custom loop or just give my CPU a AIO cooler and let my gpu with his stock cooler, we'll see about that.

Thanks guys !

Dackzy JoeyDM don_svetlio, i tag you guys since you're here from the begining wink wink wink AND THANKS JOEY FOR RUINING MY POST

EDIT : Yeah my budget is about 2k5 tops, if we could get it down to include a loop, it would be great :) I already have screens/mouse/keyboards/sound/headphones/etc, just need the computer

seems fine, I would still wait for vega. The Cooler Master 750W is a pretty good PSU and for CPU cooler I would get the biggest one that can fit into that case.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

Oh and, is this RAM overkill ? I mean will i see any difference between 3333Mhz and less ? (since it's 32go)

Thanks for your multiple answers btw man i really appreciate it :)

Yep i don't know why i forgot about that line, it's cheaper and better.. I'll have a 3TB hard drive to match with it too

You will only need a 500W - 550W psu.

Well I would get this one https://www.amazon.fr/Cooler-Master-RS750-AFBAG1-EU-Alimentation-Noir/dp/B0118FFHZI/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1466112672&sr=1-2&keywords=Cooler+master+v750 because it is 100% modular. Ram is fine.

550W is fine. A Seasonic M12II 520W would be perfect for a single GPU rig. Also, anything from the EVGA G2/GQ/GS lineups are good.

Oh and i'm pretty stupid, to futurproof ram i'll just get 16go on one stick and if needed in 2/3 years i'll just buy the same stick to double the memory, since it's impossible to go over 16go without doing video editting. Any good sticks to advice ? And, is the clock of memory a huge difference ? Would it speed up everything ?

To tag people, put an @ infront of their name (@ConstantinZ)

Anything Seasonic (M12II 520W for example) or anything from the EVGA G2/GQ/GS lineups. Also, anything from the Antec HCG/HCP lineups and anything from XFX.

Clocks aren't a huge factor, get 2400 just to be safe (because 2133 just sounds bad) Also, it's impossible to future proof anything. DDR5 will come out eventually and so will new CPUs and motherboards. The only things you can future proof are PSUs and cases.

this list shows all the good PSUs. Ram speed can matter, so just get the 3000MHz

Sure, but not before a long time, 32go will be needed before DDR5, at least i guess.. Thanks for the tag tip btw <3

The GTX 1080 uses less power than the 900 series.

This link shows an i7 6700K overclocked to 4.4GHz and an Inno3D GTX 1080 iChiLL. The power consumption is 260W.
