I have a gtx 770 and a i7 4770k @ 3.8 ghz using OC Genie. Is my PC bottlenecking because i get pretty weird FPS in games like Mount & Blade Warband where i get like 50-60 fps, but i cant stay at 60 fps which should be no problem.. Is it because of OC Genie or what is the problem here?

Also, i cannot disable OC Genie settings, because even if i turn off OC genie and restore system settings, it's still clocked at 3.7-8 ghz, and i cannot see how to restore it to factory settings..

check your speeds from your gpu, even at stock clock speeds, it should be no problem. also, can you refer to a more popular game than Mount & blade? i have no clue how demanding that game is.

The 3.8 ghz is not from oc genie. It's the stock turbo boost.

How do i check my stock clock speeds? In CPU-Z or do you mean a stress test?

I tried using valley benchmark, and with everything on ultra i had like 20-30 fps. Is that normal?

Edit: M&B isn't a demanding game at all, which is why i am concerned..

For some odd reason i am getting around 100 fps in M&B Now, so that is out of the way..

Now would you guys say that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU or is it ok?

the other way around is more likely.

How come? My GPU is quite strong so how can it bottleneck my 4770k?

It wont. Also you did not overclock the 4770k. Those were stock clock speeds.

But can you tell me why other people on youtube are getting like an average of 60-65 fps in FC3, while i am getting 40.. It confuzzles me :D

Are you sure your specs are identical. Same clock speeds, same ram speeds and amount. Those things matter.

The 4770k is the highest end cpu for general consumer use. You can put the 780 in sli and it will be fine

They usually have like 0.2 ghz more than me, but we both have 8gb ram.

Their gpu might be overclocked or has a higher boost clock than yours. Those things combined might give them that extra performance.
