server How to get my computer toconnect to my server

I made a minecraft server and am port forwarding the server using LogMeIn Hamachi. I just got a new laptop and its running linux mint. How do I connect the laptop to the server?

I'm no expert, but I think you put in your ip address, according to http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-set-up-a-Minecraft-server-181/?ALLSTEPS

well if you use hamachi so you dont have to port forward, you have to be on the hamachi server and then use the IP (either the one on hamachi or maybe your IP) and boom

the problem is you have to have hamatchi installed to use the hamatchi ip and the computer ip only works if you are connected to the same internet as the other computer

that only works if you are connected to the same network as the other computer.

how do i come on the hamachi server. you need hamachi to do that.

of course you do. to set up a hamachi server you need hamachi,

but hamachi doesnt work on linux mint

then you cant do it

you have to be IN the hamachi server to be able to join the minecraft server. if you're not in the hamachi server then you cant play on that server

The problem is i get LogMeIn Hamachi into a package state but then when i open the package it says error.
I made sure its executable but it just wont load.
