My first PC build

zululim98

Hi i am looking to build a new desktop for gaming, however, I'm a technological idiot and know nothing about desktops and such apart from that i need a good GPU and CPU to run it. would appreciate any tips and pointers on the matter or even a recommended build. I usually play DOTA 2 and battlefield 4 and would love to be able to run most games at glorious 60 fps, however my budget sits at around 1000 USD.

Thanks in advance.

$1000 is plenty.. Just adjust settings as needed.. Many of the "ultra" settings can add allot of load for minimal benifit so you end up with great looks and smooth play

For that budget I'd go something like this (if you need mouse monitor keyboard headset or anything else, it's a bit tougher but still doable.

(will edit with build)

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Very similar to this, bigger budget for the 480 as I don't know if you will want a 4 or 8GB or custom cooled (if history is anything to go by the reference design is rubbish cooler)

Less spent on the cooler and ram and PSU but much better bang for the buck on all 3.

Case style and size are very much open to what your looking for (you could go small with Mitx board and case.

Non-referance 1070's are much more that that. Much closer to FE
