I am currently running a samsung 120gb ssd with a 1.5tb hdd. I was looking online and saw that the new samsung evo ssd is only $100. Looking on ebay, people are selling 120gb ssd for around $60 I run windows 8, steam, and photoshop off my ssd right now, would it worth the upgrade to sell my ssd and buy 2 new EVOS and run them in raid 0 or would it be better to get a second samsung 840 to run in raid 0. It would be about 34-40 dollar difference.

I'd prefer getting the drives new, but that's just me. How important is the cash to you?

Well it is a decent amount, most likely it would be used to upgrade my computer later down the road.

The difference in performance will be unnoticeable unless we're talking massive images that are constantly writing to the raid array as a scratch disk.
